Here for good. In past years, we looked to the stars for inspiration – celebrating vision, possibility, and the expansive future ahead. This year, we turn our gaze downward, to the ground beneath us – the source of strength, growth, and connection.
At ARA, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond business operations, encompassing the well-being of the communities in which we operate. Our mission is to create a lasting legacy of charitable donations, ensuring ongoing support for generations to come.
Established in 2009, the ARA Endowment Fund embodies this commitment. Our vision is to grow the Fund’s balance to $10 million, a milestone that will enable us to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for charitable causes across Australia. Achieving this dream will cement the ARA Group’s legacy of enduring support for the Australian community. This year we have put the power into our employees and communities. We have asked all our employees to recommend an Australian registered charity, and we will select multiple charities to donate a portion of the funds to. Historically, the ARA Endowment Fund has provided support to the GO Foundation, Indigenous Literacy Foundation and the David Lynch Foundation. Although these foundations are no longer connected to the ARA Endowment fund program, we will continue our support.
Endowment Fund Theme
This years’ gala theme is growth. It is inspired by the organic beauty of tree rings, each one a quiet testament to time, resilience, and growth. We gather this evening to celebrate 16 years of the ARA Endowment Fund. Just as rings form outward from a tree’s core, our journey has been one of intentional expansion, rooted in a foundation of care, community, and commitment to building a lasting legacy.
This gala reflects ARA’s enduring values. Like roots anchoring a tree, our partnerships with the GO Foundation, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation, and The David Lynch Foundation have grounded us in purpose. These relationships have allowed us to support education, literacy, and mental wellness across Australia. From our support of Indigenous scholarships at the University of Sydney to our long-standing partnership with Taronga Zoo, and our sponsorship of youth-focused sporting programs with the Sydney Swans, every initiative is a ring in our legacy tree.
As we look back on 16 years of steady progress, we also look forward—with clarity and conviction.
